The Morse Group is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Beloit, WI

JOB OVERVIEW
A Electrical Estimator has the ability to work with a collaborative team of estimators to prepare cost estimates, produce complete bid proposals for large electrical construction projects. Projects range from fully defined plan and spec projects to conceptual budgeting and design build projects. This is an in office position at our Beloit WI office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze bid documents to qualify targeted opportunities
  • Develop strategies to approach bids and proposals that separate us from our competition
  • Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy prior to submission
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates
  • Maintain close coordination with project management
  • Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented
  • Prepare conceptual budgets based on concepts and owner provided information
  • Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical alternative
  • Develop and maintain good, healthy, and effective relationships with internal and external clients
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 1 or more years estimating/electrical construction project experience or willing to train the right candidate with an electrical background.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and an estimating software platform
  • Able to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications as they relate to the electrical work
  • Design / Build experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to approach and handle projects strategically
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and self-management skills
  • Knowledgeable with a wide variety of electrical materials and planning methods of installation
  • Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

COMPENSATION:

Competitive compensation package dependent on experience and work history

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
