Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will have an active role in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reports for the firm and its business segments. Provide information and analysis on an ad hoc basis. Compile and enter quarterly forecast and annual budget data.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for inputting data into the budget system including compensation and benefits, derived and dependent expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Prepare analysis and commentary and distribute reports to management on a monthly basis
  • Support managers with data input and review for quarterly and annual surveys
  • Responsible for gathering data and developing supporting models to support the needs of business partners
  • Work with other analysts and managers to support practice groups and offices by providing analysis related to profitability and expense management
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the systems and processes necessary for reporting upon key business metrics in a scalable and efficient manner
  • Develop and revise reporting templates as necessary
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Experience of at least one year in a financial analysis role is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work well with others and get things done in a dynamic, global environment
  • Self-starter and have a high level of initiative and drive
  • Experience in mid to large-sized law or professional service firms is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of analytical methods to address business issues with an emphasis on overall corporate decision analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence more senior managers and executives
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include but are not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, and geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by the Firm and individual performance.
