The Mom Project is Hiring a Family Law Paralegal Near Valparaiso, IN

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client located in Valparaiso, Indiana. He is looking for a Paralegal to join their team. The Paralegal will be supporting the company by preparing documents like affidavits and legal correspondence, organizing and maintaining files, and helping prepare for hearings and trials. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and will need to be able to multitask effectively. Experience with MyCase CRM is a plus.
Core responsibilities
Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, opposing party, and/or third parties
Maintaining client database and client files
Maintaining calendars for the attorney, including scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, and any other necessary appointments as needed
Calculating and calendaring case related deadlines
Preparing legal documents, memos, emails, and other written correspondence of behalf of the attorney
Managing or assisting with substantial components of a broad range of corporate and transactional matters
Qualifications/Skills
Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program
Proficient in Microsoft Office365, GSuite, Outlook
Familiarity or willingness to learn MyCase Practice Management CRM
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents, and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team oriented environment
2 years office administration experience
As a solo attorney, the position can be a hybrid with an "in office" day once per week and the remainder of the work done remotely.
