Job Summary:

To ensure the safety of members/guests including accident prevention in the water and on surrounding areas.The rescue and care of accident victims.

Job Tasks / Duties:

Member Related

• Greet the members in a friendly manner
• Help answer any questions that members might have
• Make sure members sign in every time they visit including their potential guests
• Reinforce the pool rules with members
• Answer the guard desk phone

Lifeguard Related

• Ensure safety for all of the swimmers in and out of the water by enforcing pool rules
• Provide first aid to any person in need
• Keep a 20 minute rotation guarding schedule
• Be in uniform while guarding
• Stay attentive and prepared for any kind of emergency
• Be Lifeguard and first aid certified

Off Duty Related

• Keep the pool and pool deck clean and picked up
• Tidy up the bath houses after every lifeguard rotation
• Replace dirty towels with clean towels
• Keep guard desk and bathhouses stocked up with clean towels
• Open and close the pool
• Provide assistance to manager if needed

Must be Lifeguard and first aid certified
