Government agency on Capitol Hill is seeking a contract Live Events Coordinator for a 1-3 year contract.

This Live Events Coordinator will work within the House Recording Studio, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). The House Recording Studio provides broadcast coverage of the House, broadcast and webcast Committee hearings, and provide video and audio services for Members. This position serves as the Live Events Coordinator.

Key responsibilities include both technical support and production operations, including maintenance of equipment primarily in the Cannon Caucus room as required of the House Recording Studio. This position has a heavy emphasis on production equipment setup, testing, operation, and tear-down with working knowledge of video-teleconferencing software, hardware, and virtual platforms.

A.3 Description of the Work:

The House is seeking a Live Events Manager for the Cannon Caucus Room to provide maintenance and technical support primarily in the Cannon Caucus Room. Specifically, the task will encompass but not to be limited to:

Manage clients and events on Capitol Hill:

a. Manage clients from introduction to the end of the event

b. Maintain client relationships to ensure return business

c. Equipment set up and take down

d. Provide technical support for events

e. Work side by side with other client personnel and staff

f. Schedule additional team members as needed

g. Work with tech team to best serve customers with proper equipment

h. Strong client management skills with a cordial and professional demeanor

• Maintain client relationships to ensure return business and exceptional customer service

• Equipment set up and take down

• Provide technical support for events as needed including as needed on all but not limited to, operating mixers, cameras, lighting, projectors, sound, presentation equipment, screens and broadcasting.

• Schedule additional team members as needed

• Work side by side with other client personnel and staff

• Comfortable with technician changes in audio, video and or lighting

• Determine client needs, provide total support

• Provide phone, email or in person technical support including troubleshooting AV Systems at Venue.

• Train users how to integrate their devices for presentations

• Assist integration team in perform quarterly AV rack inspections/cleanings

• Assist integration team with quarterly maintenance reports

• Assist installation team to install and integrate AV systems as requested

• Communicate with fellow co-workers and managers on a daily basis

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
