Conducts and coordinates in-service training and education for nursing home facility

Schedules training/educational sessions and evaluates those receiving instruction on the applicable subject matters

Maintains appropriate records

Reviews course content and develops or revises content based on applicable laws, rules, regulations, accreditation standards, program evaluations, industry trends, etc.;

Assists in developing and amending educational and specific nursing unit/functional policies and procedures

Participates in new employee orientation

Serves as clinical resource person, patient advocate and clinical role model

Serves as a liaison with external entities associated with the training/educational process

Good knowledge of principles, practices and terminology associated with Long Term Care
