The McAlear Group is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Maumee, OH

This position will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance department by
reinforcing systems, auditing products, support quality system compliance activities
including review of standards and follow ups, along with aiding in improvement
opportunities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all quality system processes & procedures are being followed by completing audits against standards.
  • Perform periodic inspections of manufactured products, incoming supplied products and finished assembled products. Confirm required Operations inspections are completed and accurate.
  • Validate measurement equipment accuracy and support the IMTE (Inspection, Measurement, Test Equipment) requirements.
  • Understand how to interpret part drawings to determine measurement requirements.
  • Assist with identifying, tracking & dispositioning nonconforming products.
  • Prepare Customer Complaint data for analysis and review. Identify repeat issues and assist in investigation of root causes.
  • Support any corrective action implementation projects.
  • Work closely with Quality Team, Engineering Team, and Operations Team to identify any product quality risks, help troubleshoot quality issues and support identification of corrective/preventive actions.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Training of new team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods of standing in manufacturing facility
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to frequently bend, stretch and ability to lift to 30 pounds.
  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent twisting, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, climbing, standing within an 8 hour work period.

COMPETENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough Knowledge and understanding of quality control standards and systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude, knowledge & experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, tape measure, go / no go gauges, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong Ideal Team Player
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma
  • Experience implementing and supporting a Quality System
  • 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED:

  • Associate degree in business administration, manufacturing technology or related courses

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Must have flexibility to work various schedules for purpose of projects & training

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
