The McAlear Group is Hiring a Graphic Design Lead Near Maumee, OH

The Graphic Design Lead will play a pivotal role in leading design projects from conception to completion, collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions. The ideal candidate is an expert graphic designer with a proven track recording of project management and a passion for leadership and development.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage design projects from concept development through final delivery, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative design concepts, taking into consideration client feedback, market trends and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, goals, and objectives for unified approach to graphic communications.
  • Provide creative direction and mentorship to creative teams, helping them to develop their skills and achieve project objectives and deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Oversee workload distribution and resource allocation within the creative team, ensuring equitable distribution of tasks and resources.
  • Present design concepts and proposals to internal clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to make necessary revisions.
  • Design on-brand marketing and communication pieces that fit within the project scope and are free of errors such as catalogs, campaign materials, trade show graphics, social content, website content, etc.
  • Track project progress, creative needs, and deadlines with the Director of Marketing.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Pre-press processing, material ordering (mailers, catalogs, giveaways) for campaigns
  • Negotiating pricing with vendors and comfortable providing honest feedback on received pricing.
  • Build a team culture and uphold the organization’s values.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

COMPENTENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Expert Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Suite.
  • Exquisite communication, writing and people skills.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong editing skills with meticulous attention to detail.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

  • 3-5 years of experience in professional graphic design.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth and engagements on social media.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design samples across multiple mediums

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, Adobe XD.
  • Leadership experience with overseeing or managing a small team of 2-4 people.
  • Experience using CRM, marketing automation tools and social media management platforms.
  • Strategic, innovative, and creative thinker.
  • Photography or videography experience.

Pay: $21.48 - $25.86 per hour
