The Matian Firm, APC is Hiring a Jr. Talent Acquisition Recruiter Near Houston, TX

At The Matian Firm, our people are our most important resource. We’re looking for an experienced Jr. Talent Acquisition Recruiter to become one of them, and to help us find them. In this role, you’ll work closely with all departments to bring top talent into the organization. This recruiter will be an important member of the Recruitment team, scheduling interviews, managing the recruiting process, and building candidate relationships. As a Talent Acquisition Recruiter you will be an advocate for candidates ensuring an outstanding candidate experience, operational excellence, and a seamless interview process. You will learn how to build scale-able recruiting programs, interview processes, organizational design, and recruitment strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule phone, video-conference, and in-person interviews; working directly with candidates and hiring managers
  • Provide status updates to candidates via phone and email
  • Conduct initial phone interviews with potential candidates
  • Meeting with Department Managers to understand staffing needs or concerns
  • Help coordinate other recruiting activities
  • Manage our ATS (applicant tracking system), assisting to create new positions, writing job descriptions, and updating existing job descriptions.
  • Review inbound candidate applications and determine the qualification
  • Further develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies and hiring processes that result in high-caliber hires and positive candidate experience
  • Source top candidates from multiple job boards (Indeed, Ziprecruiter, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Prepare reports on new hire metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in HR/Business or related field, JD is a major plus.
  • 2-3 years of recruiting experience
  • Strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Greenhouse and ADP
  • Be able to manage confidential information
  • Maintain composure under stressful conditions
