This position provides general laborer support to the maintenance department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Washes and cleans company vehicles, tractors and trailers and other equipment Assists in receiving, inventorying and stocking parts Performs housekeeping in the shop and around shop areas Assists mechanics as needed Assists with paperwork and creating repair records Operates company skid steer/pickups. Training will be provided on operation of company skid steer/pick-ups Maintains housekeeping in the shop and around shop areas Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner Regular attendance and punctuality is essential Adheres strictly to company’s safety policies. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Successful candidate must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and basic procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one is preferred. MSHA certification is preferred. Lodging and meals are provided to those working on site. The successful candidate must be able and willing to work at a remote site for up to four weeks at a time and may be required to work different shifts during the scheduled rotation.
