The Lumistella Company is looking for an experienced Social Media Community Specialist to join our team! This position will provide critical, tactical, and strategic support for a vibrant social media community. He/she will partner with other Global Marketing teams to tell brand stories across a variety of channels and strengthen our relationship with our customers and fan base. He/she will have a meaningful impact at an exciting, values-driven company where being creative is as important as being analytical. The Social Media Community Specialist requires that he/she excels at building relationships, is passionate about social media, is a strong writer with a keen visual eye, and thrives on performance-driven teams.
The Social Media Community Specialist supports content development and strategy for all social media platforms to ensure seamless engagement across social media channels. They will actively publish content, and oversee community management, for the company's social media channels, domestically and abroad. He/she is also responsible for establishing and tracking KPI's associated with social media performance, understanding, and championing our brand voice, and writing social media content that nurtures the community environment for our fans. This is a fast-paced job which requires a quick thinking, eloquent approach. We are seeking an experienced Social Media Community Specialist who excels at nurturing brand communities and has a strong background in combating intellectual property (IP) infringement. As the Social Media Community Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining our brand's online presence, fostering engagement within our community, and protecting our intellectual property rights.
The Community Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding our brand community across diverse social media platforms. They will diligently monitor social media channels, promptly responding to inquiries, comments, and feedback in our brand's unique tone of voice.
They will engage with fans, ensuring the appropriate brand representation on each platform and collaborating with international partners to maintain consistency across global channels. Crisis response management and maintaining a comprehensive document of common questions and responses will be among their key responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with customer care and other departments.
This position will foster meaningful relationships with community members, influencers, and brand advocates to enhance brand loyalty and advocacy, while also encouraging user-generated content to amplify brand awareness and engagement. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, they will contribute valuable insights to the development of marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with both brand and corporate marketing efforts.

The ideal Social Media Community Specialist will bring:
  • 2 years of experience coordinating social media for brands/organizations; agency preferred
  • At least 1 year of content creation experience
  • Experience with brand protection and/or IP Infringement in Social Media
  • Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of paid media
  • In-depth knowledge of community management best practices, and emerging trends in social media marketing
  • Must possess a deep and intuitive understanding of social media, with an emphasis on Facebook, Facebook Groups, Instagram and Twitter
  • Has a keen visual eye and is a meticulous proofreader
  • Loves building relationships and communities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure success
  • Possesses strong interpersonal, written communication, and organization skills
  • Self-motivated and performance-driven
  • Able to work in both strategic and hands-on, detail-oriented capacities
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Experience with social media management and visual curation tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Excel is a plus
  • Understands of general social media reporting
  • Strong digital customer service orientation
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines, multi-tasking and taking ownership of large research-based projects and channel audits
  • Knowledge of effective marketing strategies including understanding of utilizing pop culture trends to target parents and children is a plus
  • Familiarity with intellectual property laws, copyright, trademark, and digital rights management a plus
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Demonstrates maturity, tact, diplomacy, flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to take on and express a unique brand voice both internally and externally
Education requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or in the Creative field.
