Job Summary

The Overnight Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing preventative and routine maintenance work to ensure that the hotel is maintained to a level consistent with the Loren’s standards. This is achieved through attentiveness, anticipation, courteousness, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure hotel is maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders as assigned
• Install or repair wall coverings
• Paint designated areas and items
• Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership
• Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 years Engineering experience preferred
• Previous experience in hotels preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English for both written and verbal communications
• Proficiency with computer systems
• Ability to work a flexible schedule is required

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school or equivalent education required. Certifications for Pool, HVAC, Electrical is preferred.

Policy and Service Responsibility

• Must adhere to all hotel loss prevention guidelines

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand at least 90%
• Must be able to sit and squat frequently
