Job Description: Kitchen Steward

Location: The Lodge of Four Seasons; Lake Ozark, MO, 65049

The Kitchen Steward will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. This includes washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring that all surfaces are sanitized and free of debris. The Kitchen Steward will also be responsible for assisting with food preparation and ensuring that all food is stored properly.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Assist with food preparation as needed.
• Ensure that all food is stored properly and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
