We are seeking a qualified Senior Inspector for a high-profile project in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Field supervision of civil construction operations in urban environment
• Documentation of all work performed
• Supervise work of multiple contractors
• Interface with client, public and project managers
• Monitor project schedule and budget
• Oversee and coordinate inspection of work for compliance with plans, codes, standards as well as for compliance with schedules and deadlines
• Work with the project team on ensuring quality and safety on the job site
• Provide daily reports to senior management team
• Provide quantities, manpower and other field information for production of independent cost estimates.
• Collaborate with other inspectors to provide comprehensive field supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• PE a big
• 5 years’ experience
• Experience related to excavation, pile driving (H piles, micro piles, helical piles, etc.) pile caps, rebar/concrete, finish work and utility relocations.
• Experience working in and around transit facilities a plus.
• Strong communication skills at multiple project levels ranging from tradespeople to client or facility executives
• Public sector experience a big
• Site safety a priority
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including off hours if/when required.
• Experience with site utility installation and relocations
