The Lilly Company is Hiring an Assistant Service Manager Near Irondale, AL

The Lilly Company is a full service material handling and construction equipment dealer that has been in business since 1919. Founded by Thomas F. Lilly, this privately held company is still family owned and operated from its headquarters in Memphis TN. The Lilly Company has branches in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas and offer just about every type of material handling products and construction equipment needs you can imagine including Dock/ Door maintenance, installation, and repairs.

This position is located in our Irondale, AL location. This position is responsible for assisting the Service Operations Manager in the oversight of all shop related customer jobs and facility maintenance to ensure a safe, functional and profitable work environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for new equipment setup to ensure customer satisfaction.

2. Responsible for ensuring shop repair jobs are completed in a reasonable time with complete customer satisfaction based on quotes and scheduled maintenance.

3. Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance within the service team by overseeing shop and building upkeep. Work with the management team to ensure all service tech personnel follow and maintain safe work habits in the shop, as well as at the customer site.

4. Support parts team to assist with parts ordering, shipping and receiving as well as inventory management.

5. Assist customers and service team by answering phone calls and capturing critical customer data in Equipsoft systems.

6. Work with Service Coordinators to maintain and track all full service and planned maintenance agreements to ensure 90% completion rate is met each month.

7. Work with service team to ensure preparation of service quotes and proposals is completed quickly and efficiently and driving towards 70% close rate while maximizing revenue opportunities.

8. Assist Operations Manager with warranty process from filing claims through parts return and following up on all claims and repairs.

9. Close monthly WIP’s to ensure the correct data is gathered from billing.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Two to five years management experience required, with technical experience preferred.

Management of hourly workforce, knowledge of Material Handling Equipment.

Degree in business or technical school preferred
