We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administrative support and possess excellent communication skills. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and update medical information as necessary
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle any patient concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism
Experience:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and knowledge of HIPAA regulations is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft or eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction
