The Learning Spectrum is Hiring a Director of Maintenance Near Columbus, OH
The Director of Maintenance and Facilities is expected to apply the principles of behavior science in the execution of all duties associated with supervision and development of maintenance staff. The Director of Maintenance and Facilities is responsible for the coordination and oversight the all the tasks that keep the buildings and properties in safe, clean, and orderly condition. The Director of Maintenance and Facilities must complete administrative tasks. The Director of Maintenance and Facilities must practice positive and professional behavior during all daily interactions. Director of Maintenance and Facilities must track inventory and report on monthly expenditures. Director of Maintenance and Facilities must coordinate with outside providers to secure services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Director of Maintenance and Facilities is responsible for keeping the building and the property in safe, clean, and orderly condition.
- Oversee routine maintenance and cleaning activities as assigned
- Oversee requests related to the storage and order of school materials
- Furniture
- Equipment
- Curriculum
- Oversee the response to and completion of maintenance/cleaning requests made by staff throughout the day
- Closely monitor radio calls and email throughout the day
- Quickly respond to all maintenance requests
- Quickly respond to the location of the maintenance request
- Complete all maintenance requests
Director of Maintenance and Facilities must effectively find, assess, and solve maintenance problems, including:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Carpentry
- General repairs
- Director of Maintenance and Facilities must coordinate outside provider/vendor contracts
- Security
- Janitorial
- Landscaping
- Fire Safety
- Supervise maintenance and custodial team across the state
- Manage timecards
- Provide evaluations
- Supervise PTO and coverage
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- 2-3 years in a leadership position preferred
- Previous experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, general repairs required
