Position can be part-time to start (25 hours minimum) depending on hired candidates preference, 4-5 days per week (flexible) but prefer someone that can start or transition into full-time work. Compensation will be $12-15 to start depending on experience with gradual increases after 2 weeks, 2 months, 6 months, and 1 year.
Looking to hire the right individual for solo law practice concentrating in Estate Planning, Probate, Landlord/Tenant, Real Estate, Business, Contract law, and Litigation. Position also involves administrative work related to real estate investments, real estate brokerage, and some personal assistant work. Some travel from the office for additional compensation as an independent contractor is also available. For example, each trip made to a court, home, business to deliver documents will be paid additional $25-$40 per delivery .
Legal/law office experience required!
Paralegal certificates, experience in real estate brokerage, real estate leasing, or any of the other practice areas mentioned above is a plus, but at a minimum must have worked in a fast paced law office environment. Bilingual is preferred but not required. Ideal candidate must pay attention to detail and have an overall great mastery of the English language including grammar and punctuation. Must be a self starter, efficient, and able to take instructions without repetition. Of course proficiency with Microsoft Word, use of a computer, and experience e-filing, scheduling, calendaring, answering phones, legal drafting, and organizational skills are a must.
