The LaSalle Network is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Springfield, MO

LaSalle Network has partnered with a national leading distribution company who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join its growing team! They have been in business for over 60 years and specialize in providing high-quality products to their customers across various industries.

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy and a passion for numbers. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Springfield, MO.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Customer invoice processing: accurately process and record customer invoices, ensuring proper coding and timely distribution
  • Post and reconcile daily cash receipts and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and send customer statements, reminders and dunning letters for outstanding balances
  • Research and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payments and correspondence
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payment
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries related to accounts receivable
  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports, providing insights to management on customer payment trends and aging analysis
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service and other departments to resolve customer issues and improve billing processes

Accounts Receivable Clerk Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable required
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively
