The Krill Co., Inc. is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Cleveland, OH

Summary:
The Krill Co., Inc. is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a full-time Project Accountant to perform a variety of project accounting and general accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including but not limited to:
  • Ensure client contractual requirements are met regarding billing and accounts receivable. 
  • Perform client contract analysis with project team to determine the job billing specifications.
  • Regularly audit client billing and project ledger, ensure both are meeting with contract requirements, GAAP, and company policy.
  • Manage accounts payable for subcontractor invoice processing.
  • Manage project financial closeout along with project team.
  • Prepare accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger postings.
  • Assist with weekly accounts payable check runs.
  • Perform departmental responsibilities such as 401k processing, AMEX processing, payroll processing and account reconciliations.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related business degree required, with 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Understand accounting implications of various contract terms related to profitability and risk management
  • Must have strong proficiency with financial systems applications and MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Must have high degree of organization skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong dedication to teamwork and integrity within professional environment
  • Must be self-starter, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and little or no supervision while working in a complex and changing environment
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion with ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
