We are looking for a qualified candidate to fit our Quality Inspector role. They will be responsible for assuring that manufactured items are made and assembled correctly. Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts, components and finished products. They also ensure that the products meet industry and company standards and safety regulations.

Essential Duties:
1. perform inspections of finished and purchased parts, subassemblies, and assembled products according to specified instructions and industry standards using standard physical and mechanical measurements
2. perform dimensional inspections to ensure conformance to customer and/or Quality Procedures
3. perform visual inspections to ensure conformance to customer and/or specifications
4. check incoming material test reports to ensure it meets the requirements of the Purchase Order specifications
5. complete and maintain all departmental records/forms pertaining to inspection status
6. maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts
7. reports quality problems or findings to Quality Supervisor or QHSE Manager
8. accurately document the results of the inspections and testing
9. maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
10. monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
11. keeps the work area in a neat and orderly condition
12. completes all departmental records/forms pertaining to inspection status are complete and accurate
13. supports the calibration process
14. other administrative tasks as assigned or requested by the department manager/supervisor
Skills:
1. ability to perform dimensional inspection
2. ability to recognize non-conformances
3. knowledgeable in algebra, geometry and trigonometry at high school level is desirable
4. must be able to interpret detailed drawings and specifications
5. inspect new, repaired and/or damaged tools and gauges to determine if they meet specifications
6. must be fluent speaking, writing and reading English
7. a self-starter and able to complete tasks with a minimum of guidance
8. must be detail oriented, organized and ability to multi-task
9. interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
10. assign priorities and resolve conflicts within daily routine tasks
11. must be able to attain a valid certification to operate a forklift and overhead crane
12. must be able to attain certification and perform various non-destructive
