Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

• Provide systems engineering principles to various systems throughout the entire systems life cycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, and support.
• Interact with a large number of Government and development personnel regarding technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Personal communication with peer and decision makers will be required to carry out duties, as well as written documentation.
• Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
• Prepare configuration documentation and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.
• Maintain data quality, integrity, and security of CM database.
• Schedule audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
• Develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items.
• Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of CM tools.
• Assist in management, maintenance, and automating of CM tools.
•  Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.
• Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments.
• Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
• Translate directives from higher level mission management systems using protocols.

Qualifications:

• Clearance TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 years of general systems engineering experience
  • A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of general systems engineering experience
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 13 years of general systems engineering experience.

  • Experience in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue and evaluating requirements to determine system suitability.
  • Qualified candidates should have experience in general systems engineering, collection management, and asset or requirement allocation.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Linux.
