Job Summary :

As a Program Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting compliance with cultural and linguistic (C&L) state and federal regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating professional translation and review services, ensuring timely interpreter services, and organizing cultural competency training.

You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team committed to enhancing our C&L program and services.

Position Responsibilities :

• Translation and Review Services : Provide and coordinate professional and timely translations of member materials.
• Regulatory Compliance : Assist in completing and responding to regulatory agency reports, surveys, audits, and evaluations related to our C&L program.
• Interpreter Services : Ensure the timely delivery of interpreter services by working with qualified staff interpreters and contracted vendors.
• Cultural Competency Training : Plan and organize cultural competency trainings for staff, providers, and community-based organizations.
• Policy Interpretation : Review, analyze, and interpret regulations and internal / external policies related to cultural and linguistic services.

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience with a health plan, program or clinical environment working with culturally diverse populations required.
• Bilingual in English and in one of the defined threshold languages (Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese) required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above is also qualifying.
