We’re looking for an “A” player to fill the role of Sunday Worship Leader for our two in-person contemporary services plus online services at The Journey Church Boca Raton.

The Journey is a young, growing, contemporary, outwardly focused church in Boca Raton.

We are looking for an energetic, go-getter who is ready to grow as a worship leader and raise up new leaders and artists within the church in this important role on our staff and make a tremendous difference for Jesus Christ in one of the most important cities in the world!

Currently, we have over 250 people involved in in-person and online church services.

This role is ideal for someone who can lead contemporary worship in an engaging way (preferably with guitar) and lead an experienced band and vocalists.

The gift of leadership, raising up new volunteers and growing teams is key – as well as the desire to develop and grow as a minister, worship leader, musician and vocalist. This is a key position on our team. Salary is competitive and the position is available immediately.

Responsibilities include:

• Leadership, growth and innovation of The Journey’s Worship Arts Team.
• Working with the teaching team to develop transformational Sunday service worship experiences and consistently improving the quality and meaningfulness of the services.
• Continually identifying, recruiting and equipping new volunteers to join the Worship Arts Team and investing in their growth as artists and as followers of Jesus.
• Requires the ability to lead worship, lead teams effectively and to raise up new leaders.
• Organizational and administrative skills are a must.
• Must be competent musically, be able to build charts and be capable of leading gifted musicians and vocalists in rehearsals.
• Overseeing the production of Church Online service and produce high quality worship recordings for Church Online.
• Ability to communicate well from stage and in small group settings.
• Other desired characteristics include hard-working; strong interpersonal skills; growing leader; team builder; sense of humor; risk-taker (seminary not required).
