Description

Purpose

Personal Trainers at The J help members improve their health and achieve their fitness goals by providing guidance, motivation and support. Trainers use their education and expertise to design safe, effective workouts and give nutritional guidance. They promote, sell and conduct personal training for individual, tandem and group training. 

Schedule

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule with approximately 15-20 hours/week of availability in the evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions

• Provide exercise and nutritional guidance and training to our members
• Conduct Personal Training Sessions
• Attend weekly (monthly after established) personal training meetings
• Build relationships with members to acquire new Personal Training clients

Requirements

• Certified Personal Trainer
• Able to learn and use software to manage customer info, schedules, communication and sales
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification
• Exercise Science degree preferred but not required
• Enthusiastic, friendly, positive demeanor
• Sales experience or willing to learn
• Outgoing and results-oriented with a commitment to team success
• Ability to develop, motivate and coach clientele
• Creative / Organized
• Provide outstanding customer service

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and return weights to the storage racks (0-50 lbs)
• Ability to stand and move around freely.
