Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned and proficient Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Maryland. As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Azure DevOps infrastructure and processes. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline software delivery pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage Azure DevOps environments, including pipelines, repositories, and test plans.
2. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications on Azure using Azure Pipelines.
3. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and PowerShell scripts.
4. Implement and enforce best practices for source code management, branching strategies, and code quality in Azure DevOps repositories.
5. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, code analysis, and security scanning tools into the CI/CD pipelines.
6. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of cloud-based applications.
7. Implement and maintain security best practices for Azure DevOps environments, including access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
9. Stay updated on the latest Azure DevOps features, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their applicability to our environment.
10. Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production systems as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles, with a focus on Azure DevOps.
3. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps services, including Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Azure Boards, and Azure Artifacts.
4. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other programming languages.
5. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with ARM templates or similar tools.
6. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
7. Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud environments.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
