The Informatics Applications Group is Hiring a Security Control Assessor with Security Clearance - Now Hiring Near Springfield, VA
TIAG is hiring for an upcoming opportunity with our Federal Customer in the Springfield, VA area. We are hiring a Security Control Assessor with an active TS SCI clearance. The Security Control Assessor will be responsible for performing all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Responsibilities for the SCA include: * Evaluates the security controls within network systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend actions to correct problems working either alone or as part of a team. * Ensures integrity of IT systems by identifying and mitigating potential avenues of exploitation including system level attacks and user level attacks. * Applies experience with RMF, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53, and NISPOM. * Applies experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker (SCC). * Develops and documents security evaluation test plans and procedures. * Utilizes compliance and vulnerability scanning tools (XACTA, RedSeal, Nessus, Splunk, McAfee ePO, and/or other vulnerability scanners). Required skills and experience: * Strong understanding of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process. * Excellent oral and technical writing skills. * Experience with the Assessment and Authorization Risk Management Framework process for all client managed systems, networks, and enclaves * Knowledge of NIST, ICD, DIAD guidance, and XACTA * Ability to conduct assessments for software accreditation on DoDIIS networks * TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph * Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related cybersecurity experience * IAT III level Certification - CISSP required TIAG is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
