Senior Network Engineer

Our client is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer on a contract basis to work onsite in Boston, MA. This Senior Network Engineer will define and enforce network standards and design and implement complex technical solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, extensive routing protocol knowledge, and experience working in a large enterprise environment.

Applicants must be local to the Boston area and must be vaccinated against COVID-19, as this role requires full-time onsite work.

Responsibilities:

• Gather information, analyze alternatives, and recommend highly technical solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions and effectively communicate recommendations
• Design and implement complex enterprise network environments
• Document, define, and enforce network standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience working in a large enterprise environment
• Experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale network solutions to optimize performance
• Extensive routing protocol knowledge (OSPF, BGP, AND MP-BGP) required
• Ability to lead and execute large, complex projects
• Strong technical expertise required in the following areas: Python scripting, Juniper(QFX), Apstra System, IGMP, PIM, and multicast routing
• VAR industry experience and JNCIP-DC/JNCIE-DC are a plus
