**Position Overview:**

You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling caregiving staff, managing time-off requests, and addressing any staffing-related challenges that may arise. **Responsibilities:**

- Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all patient care needs.

- Manage and approve time-off requests while ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained.

- Communicate effectively with caregivers regarding their schedules, changes, and any urgent staffing needs.

- Monitor and track staff attendance and punctuality, taking appropriate actions when issues arise.

- Coordinate with the HR department to onboard new caregivers and facilitate training as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of staffing schedules, time-off requests, and other relevant information.

- Respond to staffing emergencies and adjustments promptly to minimize disruptions in patient care.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

- Prepare regular reports on staffing metrics, attendance, and any relevant trends.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant certification is a plus.

- Proven experience in staff scheduling, preferably in a healthcare or hospice setting.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems creatively.

- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Able to work one weekend per month as part of the rotating schedule.

- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
