Job Summary: We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at a reputable Skilled Nursing Facility located in West Covina, California. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing care to our residents. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and contribute to maintaining a high standard of care.

Responsibilities:

1. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and following the facility's medication administration policies.
2. Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
3. Assisting registered nurses in developing and implementing care plans for residents.
4. Providing direct nursing care, including wound dressing, catheter insertion, and tracheostomy care.
5. Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
6. Observing and reporting changes in residents' condition to the registered nurse in charge.
7. Documenting nursing care provided accurately and promptly in resident medical records.
8. Assisting in the coordination of resident care and communicating effectively with other healthcare team members.
9. Ensuring compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
10. Promoting a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Qualifications:

1. Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Previous experience working as an LVN in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
4. Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
5. Proficient in medication administration and documentation.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
7. Strong observational and critical-thinking skills.
