The High Companies is Hiring a Human Resource Generalist Near Lancaster, PA

General Description:
As a key coworker within the Human Resource Operations team, the Human Resource Generalist is responsible for administrative and strategic responsibilities for assigned High Companies. The Human Resource Generalist will work diligently with Sr. HRBP's to implement and integrate company HR strategies, assist in developing and executing policies and procedures, review co-worker disciplinary documents - including investigations, performance management and ensuring adherence to company compliance trainings. To be successful in this role, the Human Resource Generalist must be an effective communicator and able to build healthy working relationships with business leaders.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Resolve employee relations issues and address complaints.Insures that sound employee relation practices are being employed, potential problems are resolved and direction is given
  • Develop and promote feedback mechanisms for co-workers to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
  • Work closely with management and co-workers to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance.Formulate and recommend personnel policy and objectives of the Company.
  • Assists with company sponsored co-worker activities and training events, e.g. co-worker satisfaction survey administration, co-worker activities committee events, etc.
  • Assists in administration of compensation program; helps to monitor performance appraisal process.
  • Represent the Company on various community and professional committees as well as conducting public relations at schools, service organizations, etc.
  • Partner with the business unit to add value, reduce costs, and collaborate on actions which will help achieve the established operating plan.
  • Analyze trends and metrics with the HR department
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Federal, State regulatory laws and stay current on updates/changes by attending seminars and additional training sessions as required.Ensure compliance within assigned companies in the areas of required postings, I-9s, e-verify, etc. Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
  • Facilitate new hire orientation
  • Participate in regular HR Site Visits and department meetings
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management or a related field.
  • 3-5 years or more of recent experience in Human Resources or a related field.
