POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for ensuring the functional capability of the facility and support facility activities that are not related to clinical operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and assist housekeeping staff in the completion of related activities
  • Manage and assist maintenance staff in the completion of related activities
  • Manage and assist food service staff in the completion of related activities
  • Manage and assist IT service provider in the completion of related activities (including phone service)
  • Oversee the operation, storage and preventative maintenance of fleet vehicles
  • Regular inspection of facility buildings, grounds, furniture and equipment for functionality, cleanliness or needed repair.
  • Perform and document all necessary safety and regulatory inspections of the facility
  • Ensure proper function of office equipment, such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, and fax machines
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper function of furniture throughout that facility
  • Ensure proper cleanliness and operation of facility kitchen to standards of local health department
  • Ensure all sanitation and licensure requirements are met
  • Ensure all regulatory signage is present and up to date
  • Ensure disaster plan is up to date and currently in place, including emergency food and supplies
  • Perform and document monthly inspections of all fire extinguisher and safety equipment, including AED electronics
  • Ensure and maintain a working inventory of available food, maintained equipment and housekeeping supplies for facility
  • Coordinate the receiving, processing and delivery of food and clothing donations to the facility
  • Maintain open communication with New Hanover County and all other community partners regarding facility repairs, upkeep, and construction
  • Ensure the facility maintains compliance with local and state inspections
  • Assist the Executive Director with the development and management of capital budget for the facility
  • Ensure that facility, furniture and equipment meet safety standards

  • Comfortable communicating with individuals with a diversity of backgrounds, income levels, and influence
  • Organized with strong time management skills

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Must be able to spend extended periods of time on your feet (walking, standing)
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. on occasion
  • Valid Driver's License required
