Job Purpose

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift - 11:00pm-7:30am) is to provide industrial maintenance to manufacturing equipment to ensure that Company equipment is kept in working order and compliance with all HC Safety standards. The position requires a skill set involving, but not limited to hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, fabrication, and electrical (especially 480-three-phase electrical).

Key Responsibilities

• Learn the manufacturing process as it relates to equipment start-up, operations, and our company procedures.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities as well as unscheduled repairs on industrial equipment and various other machines; repairs include but are not limited to electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, electrical, electronic systems, circuits, controls, panels, relays.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and make necessary adjustments.
• Operate electrical hand tools and voltage or amp measuring devices.
• Works from blueprints.
• Lead by example and perform all job duties in accordance with The HC Companies values.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma and/or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, reading comprehension, communication, and the ability to read and work according to blueprints, as well as perform basic calculation skills.
• Demonstrates problem identification and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to accurately complete all paperwork associated with work as needed.
• Must adhere to all safety guidelines and foster a safe work culture.
• 4 years of previous experience with hands-on industrial maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge is required.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment.
• Organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

• Training on the day shift for one month, then would move to the 3rd shift.
• Additional $0.75/hr. shift differential for working the graveyard shift.
