The Hand of Grace LLC is Hiring a Part Time Employment Specialist Near Mesa, AZ

Employment Specialist/Job Coach Job Description:

As an Employment Specialist/Job Coach you will play an invaluable role of serving, coaching, and learning from a diverse population of individuals with disabilities in various employment settings. Job Coaches observe and assist individuals/clients with disabilities while they work thereby helping them to become self-sufficient in their employment. Clients’ ages range from youth soon to graduate high school to all ages of adults. Job Coaches work out in the community with our clients at various locations. This position requires daily driving.

Employment Specialist/Job Coach responsibilities:

  • Meet clients at their place of work or training internship out in the community
  • Meet 2 to 3 clients a day - shifts vary based on clients’ needs - Occasional evening and weekend opportunities
  • Daily driving between clients
  • Develop positive, professional rapport with clients, employers and fellow team members
  • Assist clients in identifying their professional strengths and challenges
  • Provide and share supportive and constructive feedback to clients
  • Demonstrate and model professional and ethical employment behaviors
  • Write clear, objective, and detailed case notes documenting your coaching, feedback, and client responses
  • Meet documentation deadlines
  • Maintain frequent and open communication with management and fellow team members to ensure the highest quality of customer service possible

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, job development and/or coaching a plus
  • Professional work ethic and business casual dress
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet client's needs at different locations
  • Problem solving/analytical skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable access to computer and internet
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and Cell phone.
  • Must pass background check and be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card
  • Current driver’s license, insurance and registration
  • Experience with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • CPR, and first aid certification.
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Completion of a criminal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license, own reliable vehicle, and good driving record.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
