The Hale Hand Center has an opportunity for a full-time Medical Receptionist that is primarily responsible for coordinating all functions necessary for an efficient and productive flow of patients between check-in, treatment, and check-out. Come join our exceptional team!

Job Duties:

  • Greet patients and direct them accordingly
  • Answer incoming telephone lines
  • Schedule appointments
  • Enter data
  • Verify current personal and financial information
  • Verify insurance benefits/obtain authorizations as needed to process patients for services
  • Check patients in and out
  • Collect money over the counter
  • Fax, file, and perform any other duties assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must have two years of previous knowledge in a medical office environment
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Data entry skills/typing are required
  • Must be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Previous experience with medical software preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD9/ICD10 coding
  • Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Flexibility with hours
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Organization, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
