We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Accountant with experience in CMiC software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting project teams with timely, accurate and meaningful financial information, effectively coordinating with the project team to process project billings and payables in compliance with Company procedures and deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in construction project accounting, along with experience in CMiC software. Minimum qualifications are high school diploma, or equivalent; College Degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred. Minimum 5 years of work experience, including at least one year industry-related accounting experience, including internships. BA/BS/AS in Accounting or similar degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and set workflow priorities to provide accurate and timely support to projects.
Ability to obtain notary in the state where you work.
Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of various software applications including PM software (Procore preferred) and accounting software (CMiC), or ability and willingness to become proficient.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Excel, and PDF editing (Adobe, Bluebeam).
Knowledge of construction accounting principles, including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, general ledger, and accounts payable, SOV, and forecasting, or ability and willingness to become proficient.
Possesses a complete understanding of AIA 702/703 billing forms for client billings, or ability and willingness to gain. Knowledge of AIA Contract(s): A401, A121, A111.
