Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate kitchen Expeditor to join our culinary team. This critical role is crucial to the smooth operation of our restaurant's kitchen and dining area. The Expeditor acts as the communication hub between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff, ensuring that food orders are prepared timely and correctly and that they meet our high-quality standards before being served to our guests. 

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite all food orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers, managing the flow of orders and addressing any delays or issues.
• Oversee the presentation and garnishing of dishes before they are served.
• Ensure that all dishes are served to guests in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist in kitchen duties as needed, including prep work.
• Comply with all food hygiene and safety standards.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Proven experience as an Expeditor or in a similar role in a casual fine dining restaurant or culinary setting
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong work ethic and ability to successfully work within a team environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• The ability to listen intently, process information and to provide clear and accurate results
• A sense of humor and the ability to maintain a consistent demeanor with staff
• Current Food Handling Certification as locally required
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand without support for long periods of time
