Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for crew development, equipment allocation and control, safety of our crews and clients, production efficiency and quality control. Ensuring the successful operations of a portfolio of accounts, including Safety, Budget Control, Delivery of Quality Products, Crew Training, Equipment Allocation, and Assignment.
The Production Manager reports directly to the Branch Manager but works with the Client Relations Manager’s to serve our clients and team. This is a management position and therefore requires a certain amount of daily preparation and leadership. As leaders in the company, you are also responsible for modeling and enforcing all policies and procedures including safety policies and uniform dress codes.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff members
Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Regular jobsite visits to review job specifics
Work with the Client Relations Manager to ensure the scope of work meets a high standard of quality
Duties/Responsibilities
Safety - Ensure that all safety policies of company are enforced
Manage Morning Dispatch of crews
Monitor Daily Crew Performance
Anticipate and Evaluate Equipment Needs - Manage crew equipment inventory and repair issues
Employee Development - coaching, reviewing, training, rewarding
Enforce Company Standards. i.e., Uniforms, Fleet, Equipment, Facility
Onboarding and Training crew persons on proper landscaping practices
Quality Work with crews to ensure that The Greenery level of quality is maintained
Job Start Process- Work with sales and Client Relationship Manager’s to carry out proper new job set up
Budget Management/Scheduling- Work with BM to maximize crew routes and hours management Modify routes based on new work and cancellations. Build production plans on each property to ensure maximum efficiency

Determine and schedule equipment requirements for the job
Manage schedule for Utility locates with OA (Office Administrator)

Material procurement and delivery sequencing. (Aspire). Work with OA and Production team to stay current on Purchase Receipts and Sub Contractor Agreements
Labor/ Crew Management Labor Back Log Management. Head Count Forecasting

Time management and review (Aspire)
Inventory transfer review accuracy of what the crew removes from the yard and takes to the job and what is returned to inventory from the job
Quality control on the product being delivered/implemented this includes:
Quality of materials
Quality of Planting and sod installations
Quality of hardscape installation
Sub-contractor quality and fulfillment of the contract scope
Observation and training of the crews and their capabilities, feedback on performance to the operations manager
Work with sales on the facilitation of the change order process
Coordinates and facilitates close out process
Weekly and monthly revenue recognition on their jobs
Labor Review on jobs- Over/Under analysis
Work with supervisor to guarantee the success of the division
Employee also agrees to perform any other duties assigned
Required Skills/Abilities

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s management systems
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in, or related field required
A minimum of three years of management experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to drive for short to long distances within assigned territory
Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand, and walk
Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and can adjust focus
Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Occasionally works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels
