POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bartender is askilled and knowledge beverage professional.This position ensures all guests and members are given a memorablebeverage experience.This position requires the team member to befriendly, organized, an effective communicator.Knowledge of The Greenbrier history is a plus.Bartenders must have the ability to multitask. Team member must promote a safe environment for team members, residentsand guests. Team member must ensure all policies and procedures from the TeamMember Handbook and Department Standard Operating Procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Include the following, but other duties maybe assigned.
·Full knowledge ofprofessional bar service and Mixology.
·Take and fullbeverage and food orders effectively and efficiently.
·Uphold safetypractices and maintain cleanliness of the bar/area.
·Ability to conveyintelligent, friendly, informative conversations with guests.
·Knowledgeable ofGreenbrier amenities and social areas.
·Complete stocking ofthe bar.
·Prepare fruit andother garnishments.
·Ensures guests areattended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
·Closing Reports andlock down of bar area.
·Regularand reliable attendance.
·Attendscheduled training seminars and department meetings, as required.
·Incorporatessafe work practices in job performance.
·Keepsimmediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusualmatters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary orsuggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
·Maintainsa favorable working relationship with all other company team members andpurveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which willbe conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency andeffectiveness.
·Performsall duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordancewith established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of theposition.
·Maintainsa professional standard at The Greenbrier to include but not limited to:appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions withmembers, team members and guests.Doesnot discuss confidential items with fellow team members or work related issueswith members or guests.
·Othertasks as assigned by the Director of Department, Executive Management Team orthe Company.

Education andExperience:
·Mixologycertificate and training preferred.
·PreviousBartending/Food and Beverage experience preferred.
·Wineand TIPS Training preferred.
·Goodcommunication skills.
·ObtainWest Virginia Food Handler’s Card.
·Professionaldemeanor.
·Abilityto function and be flexible in a changing environment.
·Demonstratessafe work habits.
·Mustbe able to read, write and speak English.
·Willingnessto work and be a part of a team is essential.
