The Green Experts Landscaping is Hiring a Branch Manager - Landscape Near Beach, FL

Branch Manager:

We are looking for an ambitious and talented leader to join our growing team. We have built a great company with great people and are looking to support our growth. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about landscaping and being in a place where you can grow your career.

As the Branch Manager for our comprehensive landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, and arbor company, you will be a key player in managing and optimizing all aspects of our satellite location. This role requires efficient coordination, team leadership, excellent customer service skills, and an understanding of horticulture, arboriculture, and irrigation systems. Your objective is to ensure seamless operations, maintain high service standards, as well as topline growth. This position will report to the company’s President.

Key Responsibilities include:

P&L management and administrative detail

  • The Branch Manager shall manage the company, its administrative details, personnel, and resources, as needed, for the company to achieve its monthly, quarterly and annual financial, operational, and safety performance measures.

Client Relations, Account renewals, and Growth

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to maintain the company's high renewal standard while driving account growth.
  • Cultivate positive client relationships through effective communication and professional service.
  • Implement efficient and effective sales and marketing strategies in the company's target market.

Team Leadership:

  • Ensure the safe, efficient and quality delivery of commercial landscape operations to the company’s portfolio of accounts.
  • Work with the management team to coordinate and manage client service teams comprised of supervisors and crew team members.
  • Inspire team members and drive efficiency and profitability, through solid business insight and strong leadership abilities.
  • Strive to have quality bench strength at all levels of the organization.
  • Fill open positions, replace underperforming staff, and grow the organization over time to meet the company’s financial, operational and safety performance measures.
  • Timely identify staff needs and ensure proper recruiting, hiring, and training of employees as necessary.
  • Ensure performance reviews are conducted and documented.

Direct support of daily and weekly management processes

  • Be responsible for the weekly meeting cadence among managers, including, but not limited to – Weekly Sales & Accounts Manager Meetings, Weekly Operations Manager Meeting, Weekly Vehicle & Equipment Meeting, Weekly/Monthly Safety Meeting, Weekly Talent & Labor Meeting and Weekly Finance Meeting – all in close coordination with the applicable managers and relevant staff.
  • Support, follow through, and ensure completion of tasks resulting from various management meetings and decisions taken.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage budgets for each service segment.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring profitability.
  • Diligent job costing and forecasting are vital to the success of this role.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay current with industry regulations, permits, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Effectively communicate (written/verbal) with other team members and leaders, including business development opportunities, schedules, coaching, corrective actions, customer issues, etc.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, but not necessary
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills with customers, employees and subcontractors.
  • Ability to understand costs, revenue, billing, budgets, hours worked and other accounting and business concepts
  • Drive continuous improvement on processes
  • Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) and ability to learn other applications used in performance and management of landscape services
  • Possesses a high business EQ and the executive presence required for influencing decision making
  • Work cross-functionally with senior leadership to drive decision making and internal alignment
  • Natural instincts to balance confidence, humility and diplomacy – able to work with employees at all levels, from senior level executives to line workers
  • Ability to work well as a thought partner to leaders across the organization and drive internal alignment

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in a relevant field of study
  • Eight years of progressively increasing managerial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Significant landscape experience, resulting in a clear understanding of different aspects of landscaping, turf maintenance, sitework, plant materials, plant diseases, pests and sitework
  • Possession of valid driver’s license
  • Certifications necessary for specific work unit, such as Commercial Pesticide Applicator, Arborist license
  • Spanish speaking a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $105,000.00 per year
