We are seeking a strong Senior Accountant to add to our accounting team. Someone who is detail oriented, works effectively in a team environment as well as independently, with solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting operations. The preferred candidate takes ownership of their responsibilities, seeks continuous process improvement, and has a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close for several entities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, provide financial analysis and other deliverables
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and prepare sales tax filings.
• Provide accounting support and guidance.
• Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
• Assist in the maintenance of accounting software.
• Other duties as assigned.

Background/Experience/Skills

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Masters or CPA preferred
• 3-5 years progressive accounting experience
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP
• Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
• High competency with accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Hotel industry experience preferred, not required
