** This Position is anticipated to potentially assume the Position and responsibility of the Finance and Administrative Services Director as part of the City's succession planning.

SUMMARY:

The Deputy Finance Director works under the direction of the Finance and Administrative Services Director. In coordination with the Finance and Administrative Services Director, this position is responsible for the overall accounting and accuracy of the City's financial records.

Considerable knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures; extensive knowledge of computer operations, including proficiency with general ledger software, spreadsheets, and word processing.

• A current CPFO (Certified Public Finance Officer), CGFM (Certified Government Financial Manager), or CPA is highly desired.
• Preference is given to those with experience in the use of Caselle government accounting software.
