The Gori Law Firm is Hiring a Mass Tort Paralegal Near Edwardsville, IL
- Paralegal or clerical experience.
- Competent to Proficient knowledge and demonstrated skill set in:
- MS Office Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Online platforms such as Box and DropBox
- Typing, saving and calendaring events
- Filing, organizing, and processing data
- Reading and processing information from text and online sources
- Proofing documents for spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
- Self-motivated and well-organized
- Customer Service skills preferred
- Punctual and predictable attendance
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in daily routine
- Ability to interpret court orders and draft pleadings
- Job duties must be regularly performed in the office at a desk
- Gather data from various sources and input data into several databases.
- Save documents from various sources and extract information from these materials.
- Organize work tasks in a sequential and detail-oriented fashion to prevent missed deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and other team members.
- Work both independently and part of a team to ensure all venues are appropriately managed in the absence of another member.
- Communicate with clients to gather, confirm, and submit case related information.
- Answer client questions regarding court updates and status of their case.
- Handle litigation tasks such as drafting pleadings, electronically filing pleadings, effectuating service, drafting and submitting discovery, and reviewing and submitting settlement documentation.
- Ensure all court and settlement deadlines are met.
- Run reports and maintain case statuses for litigation projects.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field, preferred.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
