High School diploma or equivalent required.
Fluent in Spanish preferred
Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred.
Strong computer skills are a must.
Highly motivated, well-organized and detail oriented.
Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and exceptional customer service with a diverse patient population
Ability to communicate written and orally
RESPONSIBILITIES Exceptional Customer Service
Greet patients in a friendly and pleasant manner using excellent customer service
Provide excellent customer service to all patients
Professionally answer, return, and forward telephone calls, emails, and faxes.
Take and distribute messages to appropriate staff using the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Perform duties in an independent manner with support from the Patient Access Team Lead
Educate patients regarding The Clinic’s guidelines and appropriate documents
Appointment Management
Schedule appointments for patients
Must be adept in working within the schedule portion of the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Review schedule daily to ensure all appointment needs are met
Maintain departmental day-to-day office operations, monitor, and prioritize workflow, provider schedules and efficient patient workflow
Listen to the patient’s needs and find a solution that is right for them
Make patient appointment reminder calls
Insurance Card & Demographic Capture/Update
Provide interpreting services and ensure patient confidentiality
Assist with cleaning duties and document preparation
Collaborate with the team to ensure excellent patient care
Adhere to clinic policies and procedures
