Commercial Insurance Account Manager
The Getchell Companies is looking for an experienced insurance account manager/customer service representative. As a CSR, you will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our clients might face with accuracy and efficiency.

Our agency handles a range of commercial insurance products, with a focus on complex coverage for niche industries, including transportation, waste remediation and manufacturing.

Our goal is to hire a dependable individual to join our experienced team, who is able to offer service that meets/exceeds our client's expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions and insurance needs throughout the year and at renewal
  • Efficiently manage incoming call/email volume
  • Pre-qualifies prospective business clients according to agency standards.
  • Prepare (including client outreach), applications to appropriate carriers; assist producer with follow-up with carriers and clients ahead of renewal
  • Reviews policies and all documentation for accuracy and quality standards
  • Assists clients with coverage changes, certificate requests, binders and endorsements, including working with the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles regularly
  • Actively seeks referrals from current clients and cross-sells additional business services
  • Manages non-renewals and cancellation requests
  • Pro-active interest in insurance industry to stay informed on emerging trends, market appetite and products /regulatory changes to provide accurate information to agency and insureds
  • In-depth knowledge of current computer system functions, input procedures, codes and how to perform technical tasks to expedite client service.

Skills

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative within the insurance industry
  • Familiarity with Applied EPIC systems and practices
  • Experience with Office Suite and PC computers
  • REQUIRED: Comfortable with commercial insurance products, including but not limited to: business auto, commercial property/package, workers' comp, EPLI, business income/extra expense, GL, inland marine, builders risk, umbrella coverage, etc.
  • Familiarity with forms and processes of the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles
  • Knowledge of current insurance marketplace to help communicate and negotiate with underwriters under direction and supervision of licensed P&C producer
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication & documentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
