Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment in addition to other duties.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of equipment such as loaders, excavators, trucks, etc.
• Perform general plant maintenance (greasing, cleaning, filling out inspection reports, etc.)
• Working with other employees to perform general maintenance, repairs, and other work where needed
• Working safely while following company safety rules and MSHA regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High level of mechanical aptitude required
• Working knowledge of conveyors preferred
• Appropriate communication skills
• Willingness to learn, having a positive attitude, dependable, and being a team player highly desired
• Ability to work in close proximity of other equipment and personnel
• Valid driver’s license required

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
• Ability to work extended hours (including Saturday) during the busy season
