Responsibilities

Summary

The Compliance Administrator oversees, supports and monitors all Idaho Transitional Housing (TH) sites to evaluate quality of data, service delivery and compliance with minimum standards set by Idaho Department of Corrections (IDOC).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Compliance Administrator develops and maintains quality control procedures to ensure minimum standards are met and quality services are delivered within the statewide TH network.
  • Conducts random, unannounced reviews of TH sites yearly.
  • The Compliance Administrator determines performance-based metrics and evaluates the level of program effectiveness.
  • Provides training for program staff and TH providers to maintain or improve the level of accountability and professionalism of all stakeholders.
  • The Compliance Administrator ensures the proper recording, entering, correcting, filing and consolidating of data into the program database.
  • Ensures that monthly exports to GEO Corporate and the client are completed as required.
  • The Compliance Administrator authenticates results using written reports and oral communicationwith remote sites for data correction and integrity purposes.
  • Develops action plans to correct deficiencies; ensures that corrective action plans resulting from program audits are implemented and assesses the effectiveness of corrective action under the direction of the STOP Program Manager
  • The Compliance Administrator prepares and submits quarterly Quality Assurance reports to the Program Manager and partners with IDOC and program staff to ensure policies and procedures and contractual mandates are followed at all times.
  • Assists in resolving programmatic and personnel problems.
  • The Compliance Administrator is knowledgeable in the programmatic process and be able to define and identify program methodology, counseling modalities, program design needs, the various facets of the program and the principles and techniques of individual counseling and small and large group counseling.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field and one (1) year experience providing reentry services to an offender population; OR
    • Associate degree and three (3) years of experience providing reentry services to an offender population.
  • Working knowledge of contractual requirements and auditing processes.
  • Understanding of a variety of models including cognitive behavioral therapy, theories of addiction and dynamics related to substance use and other criminogenic risk factors.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of family, social networks, and community systems in the treatment and recovery process.
  • Ability to know and comply with program documentation requirements, applicable ethical and professional standards of conduct.
  • Understanding of the assessments and/or evaluations used as the basis for TH placement.
  • Understanding of how program services are tailored to participant’s personal and cultural identity, language, stage of dependence, change, or recovery.
  • Understand appropriate use of strategies from accepted and culturally appropriate models for group and individual counseling with participants with substance use and other criminogenic risk factors.
  • Possess the skills necessary to evaluate implementation of case plans, consult as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and assess ongoing treatment planning efficacy.
  • Current driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the state as necessary.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
