Systems/ Electrical Engineer

Duties/ Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Support Navigation and ship control systems and equipment.
• Participate in requirements development and design reviews of next generation test tools including prototypes.
• Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of current and future systems.
• Modify existing simulator software and hardware to support ship control and bridge systems requirements.
• Troubleshoot existing hardware and software.
• Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2-4 years of experience networking and/or scripting
• Knowledge of IP network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
• Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to embedded systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance (US Citizenship Required).

Desired Characteristics:

• Technical writing ability.
• Experience using LabVIEW for rapid prototype development.

Physical / Mental Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Basic math computational skills
