Noblis is Hiring a SEP System Engineer (Electronic Charting and Navigation Data Systems) Near Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking an System Engineer that is currently familiar with NSWCPDs System Engineering Process Manual and the policy for the conduct of engineering at NSWCPD. You will provide engineering and technical oversite of engineering work currently in progress at Philadelphia Navy Yard

The System Engineer is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work. The position will facilitate lifecycle management of hardware and software alterations for the Electronic Charting Display and Information System (ECDIS) and Navigation Critical Distribution System (NCDS).

    • Oversee and conduct system engineering requirements for associated Ship Change Doucments
    • Conduct hardware and software configuration management as part of systme lifecycle management
    • Facilitate POA&M schedule in collaboration with customers and sponsors.
    • Support system development, test and integration, and implementation
    • Work in an Agile environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in system engineering, electrical engineering or other related technical field and (3) years minimum technical experience. 
  • Familiar with configuration management concepts for both software and hardware
  • DoD Secret is desired; the ability to get a Secret Clearance is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Working or conversational knowledge of System Engineering Process.
  • Travel to fleet concentration areas to facilitate technical installations, training, and or repairs. Up to 10%
  • Develop requirements and associated artifacts associated with Ship Change Docuements (SCDs)

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range

USD $74,500.00 - USD $130,400.00 /Yr.
