MUSEUM GUEST SERVICES ASSOCIATE
The Friends of Iolani Palace is currently seeking friendly, service-oriented people who take pride in their performance and appearance. About The Museum Guest Services Associate Position
The Guest Services Associate reports to Director of Guest Services. We are hiring an experienced Associate to help us keep growing. If you're dedicated and ambitious, The Friends of Iolani Palace is an excellent place to grow your career. A background in guest services, as a down-to-earth, can-do attitude, a good presentation.
The main area of responsibility includes, but are not limited to:
- Welcome our guests in a pleasant and engaging way.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all visitors.
- Share the history of Iolani Palace as guests awaiting to enter the Palace.
- Lend a hand where needed to make sure that the Palace always looks its best.
- Ability to problem solve quickly.
- Responsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling commitments.
- Act as a liaison between guests and other departments necessary including housekeeping.
- Anticipated guests need to accommodate them and provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Good communication skills with customers
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of previous customer service experience
- Positive phone demeanor and superior written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Must have a service-oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued.
- Exemplify strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possess a positive attitude and be willing to work as part of a team.
- The ability to speak a second language is an asset.
- Willing to work irregular shifts, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
